About the Premise: So, our premise explained. Basically, Gemma Doyle came to Spence knowing about her power, and recruited Felicity Worthington, Pippa Cross, Ann Bradshaw and the rest of the Ring. Miss Moore/Sarah/Circe was never a teacher at Spence, however. They started to branch out and share the wealth, establishing their order and it‘s laws. Ever since then, the students have been having a grand old time, abusing their magic within the school. Things have started to turn a little dark, however. Felicity Worthington killed one of the Bourgeoisies for breaking their established laws, shocking everyone. No one had really broken a law before then, so they had no idea. Ever since then, more people have been rebelling against the hierarchy and their laws, people have been gathering in factions and organizing. Some want to more of the power for themselves, others want to leave the Realms in peace.

The Bourgeoisise: The Bourgeoisie are students in love with their power. Young students that have just come to Spence or Olivier’s. They use the power with the willingness of a child with a new toy, flinging it around, wearing it out.

Canons: How alike does your character have to be for to his/her book personality. Well, exactly the same. Whether or not your character turns out to be evil is up to you, but you must make it believable, obviously. Make any changes about the character happen in the process of the story and be believable. Any canon students are playable and we encourage you to do so!

Characters: We ask that your character has flaws and is as powerful/popular as their social circle allows. Don’t make your character like the canon characters, if you understand. We’d like your character to be lovely and original. Please check out existing characters before making your own, and PLEASE make sure to follow Victorian guidelines. Characters can’t be too radical or modern. They must speak and act like they live in the Victorian era. We ask that the pb’s resemble their characters and personalities. Students are age 15-18. Gypsies are any age. Also, there is no character limit. Try to have characters in different circles, however.

The Gypsies: The Gypsies live about the grounds, doing work and watching over. The students have dubbed them gypsies because of their flightiness, their homesickness, etc. Ex-students are within their ranks. The Gyspies are the guardians of the realms, but that may change. They don't approve of the students use of the Realms, and despise The Ring.

The Journals: These were made by The Ring for communication and connection. They were enchanted to work where ever in the world they are, and will stop working if the owner is dead or loses their magic. They are spelled to be connected to others(hence commenting) and can be spelled private from certain people, if the writer wishes.

Sexuality: It’s the Victorian era, so if your character is homosexual or bisexual, and people know they’ll be thrown in jail. So make sure to keep it under tight lid! Also, most girls and boys are somewhat respectable. They won’t be having sex here and there, but things do happen, and your character is allowed to be a slag. Don’t expect her to be treated with respect, though.

The Laws: The Laws are pretty much obeyed, and any breaking of them is done in secret. If your character blabs all over their journal, they will be beated up by the knights. That's just...the way it is. So, if The Ring(or those loyal to it) find out your character has broken the rules, they'll be in big trouble. Basically, these rules were established by The Ring when they first started introducing The Roses. So, The Ring might not follow them some of the time. A bit of them are egotistic and think themselves above the law. If you character is like this, they have to be secretive or cover their track, etc.

Magic: The magic is only allowed to be used within the school, says The Ring. However, they abuse this rule as well. The main thing to do is not to get caught. If your character is caught breaking any of The Ring's laws, they may very well be killed. Not really, but the knights may very well beat them up. The more expirence one has with the power makes them more powerful, and the higher on is on the hierarchy, the more privelage one has with the magic.

NPC’s: NPC’s include parents, staff, etc. They will be played by the moderators and used to make announcements, and things of that sort.

Olivier's Inistution for the Education of Young Men: A school walking distance from Spence. There, young men 15-18 will go and prepare for University. Many will go on to fabulous jobs in the military, internships and studying abroad. They have all the opportunities being male will give them. The staff looks on these students as the future of their country. They have no idea of the darkness that lies with in them, the secrets.

Period Costume: Please attempt to make your icons look period. See, we understand that this can be difficult, so as long as most of your icons are period and some of them aren’t obviously modern, it’s alright. Regency and the like is fine, but obvious medieval or mid-1900’s are a no-no. If you’re having trouble, just ask! We understand that this might be difficult, but we are flexible. Just make sure your icons don’t look too modern. We’re happy to help look for pb‘s, but if you can’t find any period icons that fit your needs, then it’s perfectly fine.

The Ring: A tight-nit circle of Spence’s and Olivier’s most brightest, unique, and beautiful. The Ring was among the first group of students to enter the Realm. As other students began to enter the Realms and experience the magic, these group of student became the royalty. Some strictly obey the laws, some abuse the power they have. These are the students with the most power and prestige. They make the rules and some don’t obey them. To the outside world, they are perfect, but there is considerable pressure on them, and mysterious conspiracy and darkness within the ranks.

The Roses: The Roses are The Ring’s pride and joy. These were the second circle of students to join the ranks. They enjoy their power and are more free than most. They gallivant around in the Realms, abuse The Bourgeoisie, etc. Some of The Roses are knights and some are arrogant students that like to flaunt their power.

Themes: Honestly, we don't care how adult the game gets, just make it within reason. We want the blood, the gore, whatever. We encourage dark themes, but keep the sex to a tee. We're okay with it, but this isn't a smut game.
